Before the start of the formal lecture, Mme. Bai Li shared a series of pictures of the seventh Xitang Hanfu Culture Week held recently for the Qiang students in the seminar. And she showed many fashionable and vigorous elements, such as wearing Chinese clothes, traveling to Xitang, rituals, Chinese studies appearing in the culture week this year. She purposed the students to establish the consciousness of the traditional culture for the past and the present, as well as a reasonable integration into contemporary fashion elements in order to give a new vitality to traditional ethnic culture.

Later, with the inheritance and innovation of ethnic culture as the starting point, Mme. Bai Li expounded the important conclusions of "the pattern of pluralistic integration of the Chinese nation" put forward by Mr. Fei Xiaotong, and entered the theme of the lecture.

The lecture contained the theory of the pluralistic integration of the Chinese nation, the integration and commonality of dress culture, the "Image of Imperial Tribute to the Emperor Qing", the general development trend of Chinese ethnic dress for three hundred years, the main factors of ethnic dress change. She elaborated on the "Image of Imperial Tribute to the Emperor Qing" in detail, thinking that it is not only the larger one in the catalogue of the past, but also the epitome of a unified multi-ethnic country in the Qing Dynasty, of which more than 300 involved ethnic minorities It also shows a lot of images of the Qiang's chiefs and people, which are important materials to reproduce the historical face of the Qiang people.

During the interactive communication session of the lecture, Mme. Bai Li treasured a large number of "old antiques"-handmade embroidery products-from the Qing Dynasty to the different times and in different regions, with the students. Each piece of embroidery with fine embroidery, brightly colored belts, apron, cuffs, scarves, shoulder bags, headwear, palace dresses, skirts, etc., aroused great interest from the students. Mme. Bai Li not only wore the demonstration herself, but also explained each embroidery in detail. The trainees also watched and photographed each piece of embroidery in detail, and had a warm exchange with Mme. Bai Li. The scene turned out to be a unique "fashion show".

At the end of the lecture, Mme. Bai Li summarized and concluded. She believes that with the influence of economic globalization, ethnic costumes have become a unified phenomenon. In this regard, in the development of ethnic costumes, it should avoid as much as possible the mainstream culture values, methods, and styles. And Chinese ethnic costumes lose their ethnic identity and embark on a unified path. Then, we should actively advocate the development path of diversification and modernity. On the basis of adhering to the ethnic cultural tradition, we must absorb other ethnic and international advanced ideas and technical means to promote the reasonable inheritance and development of ethnic costume culture. Ethnic culture has become not only a proud ethnic heritage, but also a shining gold in the Chinese nation and even the world's clothing culture.

The whole lecture lasted for two hours. The wonderful lectures by Mme. Bai Li and the colorful physical display of costumes and embroidery of various ethnics and countries opened the eyes of the students and further increased their knowledge.
