On the evening of September 7th, the Alumni Forum of Business School was successfully held in the auditorium to celebrate the 115th anniversary of Nanjing Normal University. The Alumni Forum had the honor to invite Professor Jin Bei ,who is the member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the China Regional Economic Association, to bring the theme report of "to Meet the Economic Globalization 3.0 Era" for our teachers and students. This report was hosted by the vice president of Nanjing Normal University Fu Kangsheng, and many teachers and postgraduates of Business School attended the meeting.
Jin Bei is the member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the member of the Institute of Industrial Economics, a doctoral tutor, the president of the Chinese Regional Economic Association, the vice president of China Industrial Economics Society, the president of "China Business", the chief editor of China Economist and the former director of the CASS Institute of Industrial Economics.
His main research areas include industrial economics, industrialization and development economics, business theory and practice. He has published more than 50 academic works and more than 400 academic papers. He has won the National Spiritual Civilization award, the China Book Award, Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, the first China Publishing Government Award, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award, Strategy Research Grand Prize, and more than 20 national and ministerial outstanding results award and a number of personal honors.
At the beginning of the report, professor jin Bei first reviewed the economic globalization 1.0 and 2.0 development stages. Economic globalization 1.0 began in the industrial revolution of the 19th century, and industrial countries exported industrial products in the world through the establishment of colonies and expanded their empire. Professor Jin Bei pointed out that the economic globalization 1.0 was based on the colonial rule and was not sustainable. Economic globalization 2.0 began after the end of world war II, characterized by not occupying the colonies, maintaining state sovereignty, opening the door to each participating country and implementing free trade. Then, professor Jin Bei analyzed the obstacles that economic globalization continues to push forward, including incomplete infrastructure, broken geopolitical pattern and outstanding global governance issues. Finally, professor Jin Bei pointed out that globalization is not only economic globalization, but also political, institutional and other aspects. We will build a community of Shared interests and a community of common destiny to embrace more inclusive globalization with an open mind. Professor Jin Bei's report won the warm applause of the students and teachers in the meeting room.
After the report, Fu Kangsheng vice President made a brief summary of professor Jin Bei's report. He hopes we will have broaden horizen, looking from the history development, constantly improving their perspective and practice level. In the warm applause, Nanjing Normal University's 115th anniversary school alumni BBS came to a successful conclusion.
