Strategy, Path, and Case Studies of Enterprise Data-Driven Dynamic Capability Construction Discussed at the 61st Schumpeter Innovation Forum
On the afternoon of April 26, the 61st Schumpeter Innovation Forum was held in Room 202, Xingmin Building, hosted by the Business School . Professor Chen Yantai, Vice President of Zhejiang Gongshang University, was invited to deliver an academic report titled "Enterprise Data-Driven Dynamic Capability Construction: Strategy, Path, and Case Studies." The forum was presided over by Professor Chen Zhisong, Assistant to the Dean of the Business School.

Professor Chen Yantai, integrating current hot topics, provided an in-depth interpretation of the construction path of dynamic capabilities for Chinese enterprises. With detailed data, he illustrated the development trends of China's cloud computing market size and data output, highlighting the significant growth and potential of these sectors in the context of digitalization and intelligence. Using the case of Hengyi Group and others, he systematically analyzed the construction strategies of data-driven dynamic capabilities—from comprehensive data insights to organizational process restructuring, and then to industrial ecosystem collaboration. He emphasized that digital transformation is a must for enterprises to cope with market changes, and dynamic capabilities, as the core competitiveness for integrating internal and external resources, essentially rely on big data technology to achieve iterative evolution.

During the interactive session, teachers and students actively raised questions about the pain points of traditional enterprise transformation and how small and medium-sized enterprises can build data-driven dynamic capabilities, focusing on practical challenges and solutions. Drawing on the specific practices in Zhejiang Province, Professor Chen Yantai provided in-depth answers to the paths for breaking data circulation barriers and the assessment dimensions of dynamic capabilities. He guided the audience from theoretical understanding to regional practice, further clarifying the pivotal role of data elements in corporate strategy. The entire sharing session was not only academically profound but also closely related to local innovation practices, providing a three-dimensional perspective for the participants to understand corporate competitiveness in the digital economy era.
