Bio:
Sixian Feng, born in Taixing, Professor of Finance, Doctoral Supervisor, leader of the National Social Science Fund Major Project, communication reviewer, and was selected into Youth Science and Technology Leaders of “333 Project” in Jiangsu Province and Nanjing Normal University “100 Youth Leading Talents”.
Professor Feng has been teaching in Nanjing Normal University since 2000 and received his PH.D. from Nanjing University in 2006. He was selected as associate professor and master tutor, selected as a senior visiting scholar in the University of Waterloo during 2010-2011, and exceptionally promoted to professor and Doctoral Supervisor in 2013. Currently, he serves as the member of Nanjing Normal University Undergraduate Teaching Committee, Deputy Director of the Democratic National Construction Association Jiangsu Provincial Finance Committee, and the anonymous reviewer of many authoritative journals, including Financial Research. In recent years, Prof. Feng has published more than 60 papers in first-class academic journals including Economic Research, Financial Research and China Industrial Economics, and 3 monographs in China Financial Publishing House etc. He has taken charge of over 10 projects, including the National Social Science Fund Major/General Projects and the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Fund Projects. He also won scientific research awards of provincial and ministerial levels 3 times, including the Outstanding Achievements of Philosophy and Social Science Award of Jiangsu Province, and others of departmental level over 10 times. In addition, he was awarded the “Top Ten Teaching Prize” of Nanjing Normal University (2006), Outstanding Young Teacher of “Blue Project” in Jiangsu Province (2010), Jiangsu “Young Scholar” (2011), the first prize advisor for the “Challenge Cup” (2015) and the Democratic National Construction Association “National Political Participation Advanced Individual” (2015) etc.
Professor Feng provides long project consulting service for the local governments, financial institutions and listed companies, and has served for many years in the futures companies, security companies, rural commercial banks and other financial enterprises as principal analyst or risk management committee member. Additionally, he has successfully hosted and participated in the restructuring and listing, mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning, finance and investment decision-making and other projects of many enterprises. Apart from that, a number of proposals written by him have been adopted by provincial government and other organizations.
