Lecture: Construction of Ultrafine Microporous Metal–Organic Frameworks and Precise Separation of Alkane Isomers
Invited by the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University, Dr. Hao Wang from Shenzhen Polytechnic University visited our college for academic exchange and delivered an academic report entitled Construction of Ultrafine Microporous Metal–Organic Frameworks and Precise Separation of Alkane Isomers in Conference Room 226, Huaxing Building on April 9, 2026. Faculty members and students of relevant majors in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science attended this lecture.
Dr. Hao Wang is a Researcher and doctoral supervisor, Deputy Director of the Hoffman Institute of Advanced Materials (HIAM), Shenzhen Polytechnic University, and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Green and Energy-Saving Materials (Universities). He received his B.Sc. degree from Wuhan University and his Ph.D. degree in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Jing Li at Rutgers University, USA.
He has been selected into the Young Talent Support Program of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Guangdong High-Level Talent Youth Program, and is a recipient of the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. He has published more than 100 academic papers, including over 70 as first/corresponding author in high-impact international journals such as Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications (5), Journal of the American Chemical Society (9), Angewandte Chemie International Edition (6), and Advanced Materials (2).
He has led research projects including the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Shenzhen Outstanding Youth Fund, and Key Industry R&D Program. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of porous materials and their applications in chemical separation.
In this lecture, Dr. Wang systematically introduced the following core topics:
Ultrafine microporous materials
Size-discriminative separation of alkane isomers
Fine tuning of ultrafine microporosity via inorganic SBU replacement
The lecture was logically rigorous and informative. After the presentation, Dr. Wang patiently and thoroughly answered questions from the faculty and students present, which benefited all attendees greatly. At the end of the lecture, the audience thanked Dr. Wang with warm applause and looked forward to his next visit to Nanjing Normal University.
