Lecture:Controllable preparation chemistry and its carbon-catalytic properties of cerium oxide-based nanomaterials

At the invitation of the college of chemistry and materials science academy of Nanjing Normal University, professor Yawen Zhang from Peking University came to our school for academic exchange on October 25, 2019 and made a speech titled “Controllable preparation chemistry and its carbon-catalytic properties of cerium oxide-based nanomaterials” in room 224 of Huaxing Building. More than 40 teachers and students from chemistry and materials science academy participated in this academic report.

First, professor Yawen Zhang introduced the research background of rare earth-precious metal nanomaterials. Then, he introduced CO, CO2 and CH4 carbons from four aspects: size effect, crystal plane effect, doping effect and interface effect. Finally, Professor Zhang made a summary and outlook. After the report, the teachers and students present at the scene actively asked professor Zhang for discussion. Professor Zhang carefully answered the questions raised by the teachers and classmates. The report will be successfully concluded with warm applause.
