Lecture:Inorganic Anion-Hybridized Materials for Gas Adsorption and Separation

Invited by the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University, Professor Yuanbin Zhang from Zhejiang Normal University visited our school for academic exchange and delivered an academic report entitled Inorganic Anion-Hybridized Materials for Gas Adsorption and Separation in Conference Room 226, Huaxing Building on April 9, 2026. Faculty members and students of relevant majors in the School of Chemistry and Materials Science attended the lecture.
Professor Yuanbin Zhang is a Professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang Normal University, and a recipient of the Outstanding Youth Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province. His research focuses on the design of crystalline porous materials and their applications in gas adsorption and separation. To date, he has published more than 60 SCI-indexed papers as the first/corresponding author in prestigious international journals including Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nature Communications, and Advanced Materials.
He has presided over the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been awarded the Young Top-notch Talent of Zhejiang Province “Ten-Thousand Talents Plan”, Young Top-notch Talent of Jinhua City, listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists, and selected as a Rising Star in Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers by the Royal Society of Chemistry. He serves as a Young Editorial Board Member for journals such as Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry and received the Rising Star Award in Ionic Liquids and Green Processes in 2025.
In this lecture, Professor Zhang systematically introduced the following topics:
 Boron cluster anion-hybridized framework materials
 Polyfluoro anion-hybridized hierarchical porous framework materials
 Ionized hydrogen-bonded organic framework materials
The lecture was logically rigorous and informative. After the presentation, Professor Zhang patiently and thoroughly answered questions from the audience, which benefited all faculty and students present. At the end of the lecture, the audience thanked Professor Zhang with warm applause and looked forward to his next visit to Nanjing Normal University.
