Technology of China Came to our School for Academic Exchanges
Invitated by the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center and the Jiangsu Biomedical Functional Materials Collaborative Innovation Center, Professor Hailong Jiang from the University of Science and Technology of China came to our school for academic exchange on June 17, 2019, and in the morning of the same day. An academic report entitled "Photocatalysis and Photothermal Catalysis of Metal-Organic Frameworks" was made in the conference room 226 of Huaxing Building. Teachers and students from related fields attended the academic report.
Hailong Jiang, born in 1981, is a professor and doctoral tutor at the University of Science and Technology of China, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), who was selected as a leader in technological innovation by the National Plan. In 2008, he graduated from the Institute of Material Structure of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and subsequently worked in the National Institute of Industrial Technology and the Texas A&M University. In 2012, he was selected into the 100-person program of the Academy of Sciences. In 2013, he joined the Department of Chemistry of the University of Science and Technology of China. In the same year, he was selected into the “Youth Thousand Talents Program” and the “Hundred Talents Program” in Anhui Province. In 2017 and 2018, he was selected as a global highly cited scientist in Kerui Wei'an (formerly Thomson Reuters). He has been engaged in research on the design, synthesis and catalytic function of crystalline porous functional materials for a long time. He has published more than 130 papers in internationally important SCI journals, including JACS (12) by the first or correspondent author, Angew. Chem. (9), Chem (2), Adv. Mater. (5), etc. The paper was cited more than 14500 times (H index 59), and 45 papers were listed as ESI high cited papers. Write a chapter of the book chapter. He is a member of the Crystal Chemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, a member of the Photocatalysis Professional Committee of the China Photographic Society, and serves as a journal of EnergyChem (Elsevier), Materials (MDPI), China Chemical Express, Chemical Journal, Scientific Reports (NPG), and Journal of Inorganic Chemistry. Member of the Advisory Committee of the Journal and Sci (MDPI).
At the report, Professor Hailong Jiang revolved around the synthesis of metal-organic framework light and photothermal catalysts. First, the metal organic framework was used as the light and photothermal catalyst, the basic process of photocatalysis, and the three key processes of photocatalysis. After that, their research group specifically designed and synthesized the catalyst by enhancing the separation of catalyst charge and hole, enhancing the light absorption of the catalyst, and increasing the application of catalyst charge and hole in the reaction. After the report, Professor Hailong Jiang had a very enthusiastic exchange and discussion with the teachers and students.
