Invited by School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University,Prof. Shoutian Zheng from Fuzhou University came to CAS for academic exchange on May 17,2025, and gave a lecture entitled “Potential Applications of Crystalline Phase Change Polyacids in Batteries”in Room 226 of Chemical Building.Teachers and students from related majors of CAS attended the lecture.

Shoutian Zheng,Professor,College of Chemistry,Fuzhou University,Doctoral Supervisor, currently Director of Development Planning and Discipline Construction Department,Fuzhou University.He is mainly engaged in the synthetic chemistry of polymetallic oxygen clusters,and has published more than 30 research papers in Angew.Chem.Int.Ed, J.Am.Chem.Soc, Nat.Commun and CCS Chem as first or corresponding author, with more than 13,000 citations and H-index of 65.He has presided over a number of national and provincial science funds, and national and provincial talent programs.

In this presentation,Prof.Shoutian Zheng mainly introduced the synthesis strategy, organophosphoric acid-rare earth-poly(niobium-oxygen) clusters and other aspects.

Prof.Shoutian Zheng's report was logical, rigorous and informative,and after the report,he answered the questions about the report patiently and meticulously,which benefited the teachers and students present.After the presentation,teachers and students thanked Prof.Shoutian Zheng with warm applause,and looked forward to Prof.Shoutian Zheng's visit to Nanjing Normal University again.
