At the invitation of School of Chemistry and Materials Science,Nanjing Normal University, Prof. Quanguo Zhai from Shaanxi Normal University visited CAS on May 18,2025,and gave a lecture entitled “Synthesis and Performance Regulation of Cluster-Cluster MOF Frameworks” in conference Room 226,Chemistry Building.Teachers and students from related majors of CAS attended the lecture.

Zhai Quanguo,Professor and Doctoral Supervisor,School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,Shaanxi Normal University,China.He has presided over 16 projects under the National Key Research and Development Program,the National Natural Science Foundation of China,and the Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province.He is mainly engaged in the research of functional coordination chemistry and crystalline porous materials, and has published more than 150 research papers in journals including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater. and Chem as the first or corresponding author, with more than 9,000 citations and an h-index of 45.He has been authorized more than 10 Chinese invention patents. Authorized more than 10 Chinese invention patents.He was awarded the second prize of Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Award,and the first prize of Shaanxi Higher School Science and Technology Award.

In this presentation,Prof. Quanguo Zhai mainly introduced several aspects of small molecule adsorption and separation function-oriented,small molecule catalytic activation function-oriented, small molecule fluorescence sensing function-oriented and so on.

Prof. Quanguo Zhai's report was logical,rigorous and rich in content,and he patiently and carefully answered the questions about the report after the report,which benefited the teachers and students in the audience a lot.After the presentation,teachers and students thanked Prof. Quanguo Zhai with warm applause and looked forward to Prof. Quanguo Zhai's visit to Nanjing Normal University again.
