Alumni Workshop in Mingli Building : Special Lectures on Natural Language Processing

Alumni Exchange workshop was held in classroom 109 of Mingli Building on Dec. 8, 2020. The guest invited in this event is Dr. Hao Zhou, the 12th outstanding graduate of our school. The talk was presided over by Prof. Junsheng Zhou.

 

Prof. Junsheng Zhou introduced Dr. Hao Zhou and extended a warm welcome to him. The process of this activity is divided into two: Dr. Hao Zhou gives a report, and students interview Dr. Hao Zhou.

 

The topic of this lecture is Deep Generative Model for Text Generation. Dr. Hao Zhou introduced in detail the algorithms and principles of the deep generator for text generation, as well as the main work of the Bytedance AI Lab and the main work of Dr. Hao Zhou’s team. After the report, Dr. Hao Zhou enthusiastically answered the questions raised.

 

During the student exchange session, Qian Chen, on behalf of undergraduates, asked Dr. Zhou about employment, recruitment, university life, etc. Finally, Teacher Wang, deputy secretary of the party committee of the college, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Zhou for coming.

 

Short Bio:

Dr. Hao Zhou, the 12th outstanding undergraduate graduate of the School of Computer and Electricity, is currently working in ByteDance AI Lab. His research direction is machine learning and its application in natural language processing, and currently focuses on the deep generative model of NLP. He has published more than 40 papers in famous conferences and journals including ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, TACL, NeurlPS and ICLR, and won the 2019 PhD Thesis Award of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence.
