Invited Talk of Prof. Yang Gao from Nanjing University

Professor Yang Gao was invited to give a talk in our school on Jun. 19, 2019. He is a professor of Nanjing University. The title of his talk is "Game Theory and Learning in Multi-Agent Systems". The talk was presided over by Prof. Genlin Ji





In the talk, Prof. Gao firstly introduced the phase transition from individual intelligence to social intelligence, multi-agent system, game reasoning and decision making technology, game reasoning for complex decision-making in big data, and then he focused on the game theory and learning in multi-agent system, specifically introduced a variety of learning paradigms, learning algorithms, game theory and decision-making technology.


Prof. Gao was humorous, scientific and rigorous. The academic atmosphere of this talk was very strong. After the talk, Prof. Gao had a warm academic exchange with teachers and students.


In addition, Prof. Gao provided detailed suggestions and guidance for the discipline construction of the school.


Short Bio:

Professor Yang Gao is currently deputy director of the department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University. In 2009, he was elected as the second batch of young and middle-aged scientific and technological leaders of "333 High-Level Talents Training Project" of Jiangsu Province, and in 2010, he was selected as the New Century Excellent Talents Plan of Ministry of Education. Professor Gao started his academic research in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, multi-agent systems, big data, image and video analysis in 1997. Based on the research results, he has published more than 150 academic papers in the international academic journals (IEEE Trans. series), international conferences (CCF A, CCF B) and the national first-class journals (Computer Journal, Software Journal, etc.). He had 10 authorized patents, one international PCT patent; Second prize of Science and Technology Award of Jiangsu Province (No. 1) and second prize of Wenjun Wu Award on Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology (No. 1).
