In the afternoon of June 4, 2021, at the invitation of the School of Computer and Electronic Information, Professor Min Jiang of Jiangnan University gave a presentation entitled "Research on target tracking algorithm based on twin neural networks" and Professor Shitong Wang of Jiangnan University (National Outstanding Teacher) gave a presentation entitled "Explainable deep fuzzy intelligence" in 109 Mingli Building. Prof. Wang Shitong (National Outstanding Teacher) from Jiangnan University gave a talk entitled "Explainable Deep Fuzzy Intelligence". Professor Ji Genlin, Dean of the School of Computer and Electronic Information, presided over this academic presentation, which was attended by full-time teachers, graduate students and undergraduates.

 

Min Jiang, PhD, is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science of Jiangnan University, and the head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Technology from Nanjing Normal University and his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. He has undertaken scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the major special project of high-resolution earth observation system of the Central Military Commission's Equipment Development Department, the sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program, the Technical Research Program of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Science and Technology Support Program of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. He was awarded the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.

 

Wang Shitong, PhD, the first batch of second class professors in Jiangnan University, is a doctoral supervisor. He has been awarded the national outstanding teacher, provincial and ministerial young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, the second level of the 333 project training candidates in Jiangsu Province, enjoys the special allowance of the State Council Government, the Ministry of Education, the new century outstanding talents; has collaborated in the United Kingdom, Japan and Hong Kong for 8 years, published nearly 70 papers in the IEEE Trans. or ACM Trans. journals; won the first prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award He has been awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education (ranked first), the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education (ranked first), the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by Hunan Province and Zhejiang Province (ranked first), and other Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards for 6 times. Visitorship and Research Fellowship funded by Royal Society, University of Macau 2019 Distinguished Scholar/Professor Visiting Program.

 

Professor Min Jiang's presentation mainly introduced academic contents related to target tracking, the presentation includes what is target tracking, what target tracking can do, the development of tracking, the challenges and resources of target tracking, the presentation and summary of the group's work in the direction of twin networks.

 

The presentation of Professor Wang Shitong mainly introduces the academic contents related to interpretable artificial intelligence, the presentation includes fuzzy uncertainty, fuzzy system and application, classical fuzzy system model, fuzzy modeling, many challenges faced by fuzzy uncertainty modeling, and the related scientific work of the group.

 

The presentation of the two professors were novel and scientifically rigorous, and the atmosphere of the whole presentation was warm and academic, which greatly broadened the scientific horizons of the students and teachers. After the talk, the two professors had a warm academic exchange with the teachers and students present, and the talk was successfully concluded with a warm applause.
