[Invited Talk] Professor Chao Zuo and Professor Shijie Feng from Nanjing University of Science and Technology

 

Professor Chao Zuo and Professor Shijie Feng from Nanjing University of Science and Technology gave academic reports titled Non interferometric quantitative phase imaging and diffraction tomography microscopy technology and instruments "and" Structural light three-dimensional imaging beyond device limits " in Room 109, Mingli Building, Xianlin Campus, on Nov. 19, 2025, at 3:30 pm. Professor Wanqi Yang, Vice Dean of the School of Computer and Electronic Information hosted the report.

 

Short Bio:

Chao Zuo is a distinguished professor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the academic leader of the Intelligent Computing Imaging Laboratory at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the dean and chief scientist of the Intelligent Computing Imaging Research Institute. He has presided over major instrument, key, and national key research and development programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 300 SCI papers, of which more than 40 have been selected as cover papers for journals such as eLight/Light/LAM, Optica, AP, PhotoniX, OEA/OES, ACSP, PR, etc. 25 papers have been selected as ESI high citation/hot topic papers, and the papers have been cited 20000 times. He is a SPIE/Optica/IOP Fellow and has won awards such as the EPS-QEOD Fresnel Prize, IUPAP-ICO Young Scientist Award in Optics, the first SPIE AP Young Innovation Scholar Award, and the First Prize for Technical Invention of the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering.

Short Bio:

Shijie Feng is a young professor and doctoral supervisor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and has been selected for the national high-level youth talent program. He has long been engaged in research on high-speed 3D measurement technology based on structured light illumination. Published over 70 SCI papers in important international optical journals, cited over 9000 times by Google Scholar, of which 7 papers were selected as ESI highly cited papers. He has presided over multiple projects, including the Youth Science Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Class B), the National Key Research and Development Program (Project), and general projects. He has been selected as a "Highly Cited Scientist" by Clarivate Analytics, a "Lifetime Top 2% Global Scientists List" by Stanford University, and a "Top 0.05% Global Scientists List" by ScholarGPS (the most influential list in the past 5 years). As the main contributor, he won one first prize in Jiangsu Science and Technology and two first prizes in Technical Invention from the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering.
