On the afternoon of June 15, 2021, at the invitation of the data mining research group of our institute, Professor Kerong Ben, the leading teacher of the Naval Master Studio and doctoral supervisor of the Naval University of engineering, made an academic report entitled "Equipment Intelligence and Intelligent Software Quality Assurance" at 402, Mingli building. The talk was presided over by Professor Genlin Ji, Dean of the School of Computer and Electronic Information. Some teachers and graduate students of the school attended the talk.

This talk introduced that the traditional combat platform and weapon equipment are deeply integrated with artificial intelligence technology based on mechanization and informatization, realizing intelligence in operation, weapon use, command, and decision-making, etc. The talk was divided into three parts. The first part introduced the intelligent perception, intelligent control, intelligent command and control, intelligent operation style, and intelligent equipment maintenance support; The second part introduced intelligent radar, intelligent missile, robot, UAV system, unmanned surface vehicle, unmanned underwater vehicle, an unmanned ground vehicle; The third part introduced the software quality, the realization of software quality, the new problems faced by complex software, the new problems faced by intelligent software, the reliability model of intelligent software, the technical means of software reliability guarantee and the development process of reliable intelligent software.

The content of this talk which was connected with cutting-edge technology was rich and novel. The atmosphere of the talk was warm and academic, which has broadened the academic vision of teachers and students and benefited them a lot. After the academic report, the present teachers and students had a warm academic exchange with Professor Ben, and the talk meeting was successfully concluded with warm applause.

 

Short Bio: Professor Kerong Ben is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Naval Engineering University. In the fields of software engineering and artificial intelligence, he has successively presided over and participated in more than 30 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China and military scientific research; He has published more than 150 academic papers, published 18 textbooks, and translated works, and edited artificial intelligence, which has been selected as the national planning textbook of the 12th Five Year Plan for general higher education. Deputy director of CCF Theoretical Computer Science Committee, member of CCF Software Engineering Committee and outstanding member of CCF. He is the executive editorial board member of computer science and exploration, the executive deputy director of the editorial board of naval new military affairs reform series, and the executive deputy director of the editorial board of artificial intelligence application series. He is an expert of the expert group of the major basic research project of national security of the Military Commission, a member of the artificial intelligence expert group of the Military Commission, a deputy leader of the naval artificial intelligence equipment application professional group, and a member of the computer teaching joint committee of the training and Management Department of the Military Commission. He was rated as the backbone teacher of the Ministry of education, the first excellent graduate tutor of Hubei Province, the leading teacher of the Navy teacher studio, the third university teaching teacher, and won the gold award of talent cultivation award of Military Academy.
