Professor Pan, Jinshan and Professor Rui, Yan from Nanjing University of Science and Technology were invited to the School of Computer and Electronic Information/School of Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing Normal University to give academic talks. Professor Pan and Professor Yan presented lectures about “Efficient and Controllable Generative Restoration Methods” and “Vision-centric Token Compression in Large Language Model”, respectively. The talks were hosted by Professor Yang, Wanqi, Deputy Dean of the School of Computer and Electronic Information/School of Artificial Intelligence in Xianlin Campus, on November 27, 2025. More than 10 faculty members and nearly 100 students are attracted to these talks.

Pan, Jinshan, Professor and Ph.D. Advisor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. His research interests cover various low-level vision areas including image/video restoration and enhancement. He has published more than 100 papers on top journals and conferences, with over 20,000 google citations. His research has been supported by National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, Key Program of Joint Fund, etc. Xinhua News Agency and CCTV-1 have reported his work on restoring historical imagery and film collections. He currently serves as the associated editor for several journals including IEEE TPAMI and area chairs for international conferences including CVPR.

Yan, Rui, Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology. His research mainly focuses on video content understanding, multimodal pre-training, embodied intelligence, and other related fields. He has published more than 40 papers in CCF A-class journals/conferences and IEEE/ACM Transactions. He has led over 10 research projects, including General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His honors and awards include the First-Class Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award (2024), the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG, 2024), the Jiangsu Provincial Young Science and Technology Talents Support Program (2024), and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of Jiangsu Computer Society (2024). In addition, he serves as a reviewer for several international top journals such as IEEE TPAMI and IJCV. He also holds the positions of Committee Member of the Multimedia Special Committee of China Society of Image and Graphics, and Committee Member of the Computer Vision Special Committee of China Computer Federation.
