[Invited Talk] Professor Yidong Tan from Tsinghua University
Professor Yidong Tan from Tsinghua University gave an academic report titled “Laser interferometry ultra-precision measurement technology, instruments, and applications” in Room 109, Mingli Building, Xianlin Campus, on May 12, 2026, at 13:30. Professor Dongmei Guo of the School of Computer and Electronic Information hosted the report.
In this report, Professor Tan showcased his team's latest achievements in the field of laser precision measurement. The report elaborated on the entire chain of work, from fundamental theoretical innovation and core instrument development to application breakthroughs, focusing on three areas: laser interferometry, laser feedback measurement, and novel vortex beam interferometry. Professor Tan concluded by stating that the team adheres to a development path of "technological breakthrough—instrument development—application breakthroughs." In the future, they will promote the transformation of their achievements into fields such as lithography machines, gravitational wave detection, and aerospace, achieving independent control over high-end measurement instruments.
