The Cryptographic Research Group Published a Paper on a Top Journal TII

A few days ago, the paper "Pairing-free certificate-based searchable encryption supporting privacy-preserving keyword search function for IIoTs" by Professor Yang Lu from the cryptographic research group of our school. It was accepted by the top international journal IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII). TII is a SCI-TOP international journal in the field of industrial information with IF=9.112.

Searchable encryption based on keywords is a research hotspot in the field of cryptography in recent years. Aiming at the shortcomings of existing searchable public key encryption methods, this paper proposes the first certificate-based searchable encryption scheme that does not rely on bilinear pairing for privacy preservation for the Industrial Internet of Things. The proposed scheme not only has the advantages of hidden certificate, keyless distribution and no secure channel, but also can effectively resist keyword guessing attacks, and realizes cipher text search with keyword privacy preservation. In addition, the construction of this solution is based on elliptic curves. Compared with existing methods, its computational cost has obvious advantages, and it is suitable for resource-constrained industrial IoT devices.

This article was completed in cooperation between the cryptographic research group of our school and the cryptographic research group of the School of Mathematics and Information of Fujian Normal University. The first author is Professor Yang Lu of the cryptographic research group of our school, and the third author is Fen Wang, a graduate student of our school. The research work was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province.
