From November 7th to November 12th, 2017, 11 teachers and students, majoring in preschool education in our school, went to the Erickson Research Institute in Chicago for a four-day study.
During the study, students visited The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. The school was founded in 1896 by renowned educator John Dewey. For more than 100 years, the school has been adhering to the concept of the education of Dewey. At the same time, the teachers of the school also actively absorbed the education view of Reggio.
Erikson Research Institute also prepared a great practical lesson, the theory and application of visual thinking strategy, for preschool education students. Finally, the teachers and students visited the Chicago Children's Museum, one of the top ten Children's Museums in America.
According to this study, Preschool education teachers and students have been updated some ideas about American children education and expanded the way of thinking.
