At the afternoon in Nov. 11, 2015, at the invitation of the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Vice chief Yibin Tao of New Energy Storage Converter Lab, China Electric Power Research Institute, Nanjing Branch, gave a lecture titled ”Energy storage in the application of AC/DC micro grid system”. The lecture was emceed by Prof. Yang Zhao. The 2015^th graduates and relevant professional teachers took part in the lecture.

Director Tao first introduced the current situation of the development of photovoltaic in china, and pointed out the main problems of large-scale distributed generation grid-tied of distributed generation. Then, he explained multiple key technologies on energy storage in AC/DC micro grid system, such as DC convertor, energy storage converter, AC/DC coordinated controller, and parallel control of multi-devices etc. Finally he introduced demonstration project on micro grid of their lab and development prospect of micro grid and smart grid, thus greatly inspired the interest on this field.

The lecture largely broadens the academic vision of all attendees, and ended successfully in the interaction.
