At the invitation of the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Professor and Ph.D. supervisor Xiyou Chen from the School of Electrical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology made an online presentation for teachers and students at 9:00 a.m. on May 20, 2022. The academic report named ” The vision of the wireless power transfer technology” was hosted by Professor Qi Wang. Besides, the teachers and graduate students in related fields participated in the online report meeting.

Xiyou Chen, Professor from School of electrical engineering of Dalian University of technology, is a master teacher of Liaoning Province and the person in charge of the national high-quality online open course "Electrotechnics". The main courses of Professor Chen are circuit theory and electrical engineering. The main teaching materials edited by professor Chen include fundamentals of circuit theory and course of circuit theory. He also translated teaching materials include introduction to circuit analysis and circuit principle. He won the excellent teacher award of Baogang Education Fund and the first prize of education and teaching achievements of Heilongjiang Province. Now he is a committee member of the special committee of wireless power transfer technology of China Electrotechnical Society，the executive director of the national teaching and textbook Research Association in circuit signal and system and the committee  member of theoretical electrician special committee of China Electrical Engineering Society. In terms of wireless power transfer, he has undertaken 2 National Natural Science Foundation, 1 Doctoral Fund and completed 2 research projects entrusted by enterprises. Morever,6 related invention patents have been authorized.

 

In this report, Professor Chen first introduced the demand background and development status of wireless power transfer technology, and then presented the principle categories, magnetic field coupled wireless power transfer, electric field coupled wireless power transfer, ultrasonic wave coupled wireless power transfer, new principles, basic theories technologies of wireless power transfer through guidance, and the exploration of Professor Chen's team. During the lecture, infectious and enlightening videos were interspersed. Finally, Professor Chen ended the report meeting with expectations for young people. The report has been presented with sufficient information and new ideas, so that everyone has benefited a lot.
