On November 13, 2025, at the invitation of our school, Engineering Education Accreditation expert Yigang Yang delivered a keynote lecture titled “Embrace Your Dreams and Challenge Your Life” to our faculty and students. The lecture was chaired by Vice Dean Wenlai Tang.

    Yigang Yang is a senior engineer at the professor level and a doctoral supervisor. He is a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, and previously served as Deputy Director of the Telecommunications Research Institute of the Ministry of Information Industry and Vice President of Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group. He currently serves as Vice Supervisor of the China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA), a member of the Conclusion Review Committee of CEEAA, a member of the Accreditation Committee for Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering Programs, and Associate Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Engineering Education Research.

    In his lecture, Professor Yang vividly described how he grew stronger through repeated setbacks and shared his experiences of overcoming numerous challenges to achieve his dreams. Drawing from his personal journey, he encouraged students and faculty to hold onto their dreams, stay committed to their beliefs, face difficulties with courage, and move forward with determination.

    After the lecture, participants engaged actively with Professor Yang. He provided detailed answers to relevant questions, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere at the event.
