On 23 March 2017, Nanjing Normal University and Materialise, the world's leading 3D printing software solution provider, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Professor Yang Jiquan, dean of NARI School of Electrical and Automation Engineering of Nanjing Normal University and lab director of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of 3D Printing Equipment and Manufacturing, and Mrs. Kim Francois, General Manager of Materialise China, unveiled the 3D Printing Joint Training Center. Mr. Jiang Naiyong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of NARI School of Electrical and Automation Engineering of Nanjing Normal University, hosted the signing and opening ceremony. Related staff of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of 3D Printing Equipment and Manufacturing and Materialise China attended the event.
The strategic cooperation aims to conduct comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in the field of 3D printing talent training, 3D printing professional education and innovative research on 3D printing application through the excellent influence of both sides in their respective fields. The strategic cooperation between the two sides is carried out mainly from three aspects. The first one is the cooperation in the field of 3D printing education. Secondly, in the field of 3D printing research, it was hoped that in the future the two sides could work on industrial upgrading, major national demand and scientific research. Lastly, the two sides hope to complement each other in some specific cases, and to jointly carry out some research projects, especially in the field of education and scientific research in depth and comprehensive cooperation, so as to promote the development of the 3D printing industry together.
By setting up this 3D printing joint training center, Nanjing Normal University and Materialise hope to carry out closer cooperation in promoting 3D printing education, research and application case innovation.
