On 7 March 2017, OFweek 2017 China 3D Printing Technology Industry Conference and Industry Award Ceremony is organized by high-tech industry portal OFweek and hosted by 3dprint.ofweek.com, Nanjing Normal University and a number of domestic and foreign industry institutions in The Radisson Blu Hotel Pudong Century Park.
The industry conference was chaired by Professor Yang Jiquan from Nanjing Normal University. It has invited well-known experts, scholars and business elite in 3D printing field to deliver a series of keynote speech, like Professor Hu Qingxi from Shanghai University Rapid Manufacturing Engineering Center, Zhou Xiaobin, Lithoz Gmbh China Region Manager and Lu Jiaru, EOS Gmbh Electro Optical Systems Greater China Region Manager, et al. The speech focuses on hot topics, such as the analysis of bio-additive manufacturing frontier research, 3D printing applications in dentistry, Pidex intuitive design platform to accelerate 3D printing process, innovations and applications of 3D printing in the education field, high performance ceramic 3D printing basic principles and applications, and how 3D printing shapes the future of manufacturing.
After the keynote speech, 2016 Annual 3D Printing Industry Awards Ceremony is held. Professor Yang Jiquan from Nanjing Normal University and Professor Hu Qingxi from Shanghai University Rapid Manufacturing Engineering Center were invited as presenters.
In recent years, 3D printing has wider and wider applications. It not only has led the technology industry to a new direction, but has brought new opportunities for the development of education field as well. Professor Yang Jiquan from Nanjing Normal University has pointed out in his keynote speech "innovations and applications of 3D printing in the education field", to promote the healthy and orderly development of the 3D printing industry, and to speed up the industry getting bigger and stronger, our country has put forward development objectives, key tasks and safeguards in the 13th Five-Year Plan. In terms of personnel training, it requires to further increase publicity, to provide relevant courses to train related personnel in the primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities, and to increase the proportion of researchers engaged in 3D printing. For 3D printing talent training, in view of the lack of teaching platform, the lack of teachers, the lack of personnel training mechanism, the lack of professional and technical talents, the lack of technology development talents, the lack of talents with comprehensive skills and other issues, talent training should be carried out in four ways, building teaching platforms, personnel training, establishing alliance system of producing, teaching and researching, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, so that development of 3D printing industry could be comprehensively promoted healthy and orderly.
