School of Electrical and Automation Engineering and School of Chemistry and Material Science have successfully held the RBBI 2017

On July 28-30, 2017, the 2017 International Conference on Regenerative Biomaterials and Biomanufacturing Innovations (RBBI 2017) successfully held in Nanjing normal university. The conference was organized by Nanjing Normal University (School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, School of Chemistry and Material Science, National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center and Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center of Biomedical Functional Materials) and hosted by Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association and Jiangsu Composite Society.

The conference was hosted by Yang Jiquan, who is the professor from Nanjing Normal University and the director of the 3D Printing Society of Nanjing. Professor Shen Jian from Nanjing normal university and professor Wen Xuejun from University of Utah served as co-chairmen of the conference. The conference also invited Zhao Weijian, secretary-general of the chemical society of Jiangsu province, and Zheng Jiaqiang, the party secretary of Nanjing institute of science and technology to address the conference.

The conference invited international leading researchers from industry and academia to present their research progresses, share practical experience and discover future developments. It was organized as plenary sessions, oral sessions, poster sessions and industrial exhibitions. There existed four topics including Advanced Biomaterials and Medical Instruments, Biomanufacturing, Advances in Biomaterials and Medicinal Chemistry, Biomedical Diagnosis and Therapy. Professor Anthony Guiseppi-Elie, AIMBE Fellow, Department of Biomedical Engineering Texas A&M University as well as professor Vladimir A. Mironov, Head of Research at the Laboratory for Biotechnological Research both present and discuss the latest innovations, trends and concerns.
