To further promote the deep integration of the talent chain, innovation chain, and industrial chain in the field of additive manufacturing, and to advance industry–education collaboration and the integration of science and education, the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of 3D Printing Equipment and Manufacturing at Nanjing Normal University, together with theNanjing Huai'an Ninghuai Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park Management Committee, jointly organized a series of academic seminars on additive manufacturing from July 10 to 25, 2025, at the Ninghuai Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. The event was co-organized by the People’s Government of Xuyi County, Huaian City, the Jiangsu 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the Nanjing Additive Manufacturing Society, and the Nanjing Intelligent Manufacturing Society Consortium.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Yang Jiquan, Director of the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of 3D Printing Equipment and Manufacturing. Centered on national strategic needs and under the theme of “Strengthening the Integration of Innovation Resources and Cultivating New-Quality Productivity in Intelligent Manufacturing,” the conference aimed to build an innovative ecosystem for the additive manufacturing industry within Jiangsu Province and the Ninghuai region.

More than ten core faculty members from the laboratory’s Intelligent Equipment and Systems Team, Intelligent Control Systems Team, Intelligent Devices Research Team, and Biomanufacturing Research Team systematically discussed cutting-edge research trends and innovative practical achievements in additive manufacturing. Their presentations covered fundamental theoretical research, key technology development, equipment manufacturing, industry applications, and future development trends. The sessions not only showcased the latest scientific results and practical experiences but also sparked in-depth reflection and lively discussions among participating experts and scholars.

The successful hosting of this academic seminar series in additive manufacturing further refined and focused the key research directions of the laboratory in core additive manufacturing technologies. It provides important theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of the additive manufacturing industry, and injects new momentum into the coordinated development of additive manufacturing innovation resources in Nanjing and Huaian, as well as across Jiangsu Province.
