The 2019 International Symposium on RF Circuits and 3D Integration Technology was Successfully Held

On June 24, the 2019 International Symposium on RF Circuits and 3D Integration Technology was successfully held at the International Academic Exchange Center of Nanjing Normal University (NNU). The conference was hosted by the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering of NNU and jointly undertook by Nanjing Intelligent High-end Equipment Industry Research Institute. Secretary of the party committee of the School Xing XuDean of the School Jiquan Yang and other relevant leaders attended the symposium. Seven experts and scholars at home and abroad including IEEE Fellow Professor Jiasheng Hong, Professor Wanchun Tang from NNU, Professor Zhangcheng Hao from Southeast University and so on were invited to give keynote theme reports in this symposium. More than 100 people from colleges and universities, representatives of research institutions, and academic committee members attended the conference.

The symposium was chaired by Vice President Shuye Ding, from the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering. President Jiquan Yang delivered an opening ceremony speech to express his warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the present experts of RF circuits and 3D integration technology field. He hoped that this symposium could serve as a bridge or platform for academic discussion and encouraged the participants to actively speak, enhance exchanges, share experiences, and explore ways of cooperation. At the same time, Dean Yang also said that the Institute and the Industrial Research Institute would be willing to go hand in hand with the talents of RF circuit industry to contribute to the modern electrical and electronic industry of China. Finally, he wished this symposium a complete success.

The conference specially invited seven well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad to share academic reports. IEEE Fellow Prof. Jiasheng Hong from University of Heriot-Watt in UK reported on “Advanced RF Device Technologies for Future Satellite Applications –Challenges & Opportunities”, Professor Wanchun Tang from Nanjing Normal University reported on“ Review of Three-Dimensional Frequency Selective Surfaces Based on Waveguides”, Professor Zhangcheng Hao from Southeast University reported on “Efficient and High-gain terahertz Reflective Array and Transmission Array”, Professor Bing Zhang from Sichuan University reported on “Antenna Package and 3D Printing Technology for Millimeter Wave and Terahertz Wave”, Professor Bo Li from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications reported on "3D Frequency Selective Surfaces: Concept, Analysis, and Design”, Dr. He Zhu from the University of Queensland, Australia, reported on “Design of Miniaturized Resonators and Bandpass Filters in 0.13-μm SiGe Bi-CMOS Technologies for 5G mm-wave Wireless Systems”, Professor Jianpeng Wang from Nanjing University of Science and Technology reported on “Resonance Characteristics of Chip Resonators and Their Applications in Antennas and Filter Circuits”.

The symposium aims to promote academic exchanges between experts and scholars, showcase the latest research results, as well as explore the current research statusdevelopment trends and corresponding challenges of RF circuits and 3D integration technologies. The delegates discussed the academic frontiers and shared technological innovations, which provided very helpful ideas for academic research. The atmosphere was lively and the conference was a complete success.
