The 6th International Conference on Electrical Technology and Automatic Control (ICETAC 2025) Successfully Held at Our University
The 6th International Conference on Electrical Technology and Automatic Control (ICETAC 2025) was successfully held in Nanjing from June 20 to 22, 2025. The conference was hosted by our university, organized by the School of NARI Electrical and Automation, co-organized by AEIC Academic Exchange Center, and supported by the Guangdong Academy of Sciences Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing. The event attracted more than one hundred experts, scholars, and faculty and students from institutions such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shandong University, Southeast University, and China Huadian Corporation, among others. Participants engaged in discussions on the latest research frontiers and innovative achievements in the field, offering new perspectives and insights for future studies and practices. The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Ma Gang, Dean of the School of NARI Electrical and Automation.

Prof. Hu Minqiang, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology and a professor at our school, delivered the opening address. In his speech, Prof. Hu introduced the history and distinctive features of Nanjing Normal University, highlighting its remarkable achievements in scientific research and talent cultivation. He also elaborated on the development trajectory, disciplinary strengths, and academic influence of the School of NARI Electrical and Automation, and emphasized the importance of academic exchange and collaboration. He expressed his hope that this conference would focus on cutting-edge technologies and provide a high-level platform for sharing insights into the future trends of the field.
The keynote sessions were chaired by Prof. Zhang Gang and Associate Prof. Zhang Hailong of our school. Distinguished speakers included Mr. Zhang Tao, Senior Engineer at China Huadian Corporation’s Huadian Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.; Prof. Atif Iqbal, IEEE/IET Fellow from Qatar University; Mr. Liu Qingcheng, Senior Engineer at the Ministry of Education’s Digital Forensics Engineering Research Center, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology; and Associate Prof. Chen Hongtian from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Their presentations covered the latest research outcomes and valuable experiences in the fields of electrical technology and automatic control, exploring industry trends and future research directions. The insightful talks not only provided attendees with cutting-edge knowledge but also stimulated lively discussions, underscoring the academic depth and influence of the conference.
During the oral presentation sessions, ten scholars were invited to present their research on specialized topics and engage in dynamic discussions with participants. Their in-depth analyses and perspectives offered valuable academic references to the audience.
The conference also featured an award session for outstanding papers and oral presentations. Following a rigorous and impartial review process, two excellent papers and two outstanding oral presentations were selected. Associate Prof. Tang Wenlai of our school and Associate Prof. Chen Hongtian of Shanghai Jiao Tong University presented the awards to the winners.
Beyond serving as a platform for sharing the latest research achievements and development trends, the conference also laid a solid foundation for future academic collaboration, project cooperation, and talent exchange. In recent years, by hosting and co-hosting international and national academic conferences, our school has continuously expanded the influence of its disciplines and established extensive academic exchange and cooperation networks, contributing to the school’s high-quality development.
