On September 21, 2016, Professor Washington Ochieng, Head of Centre for Transport Studies (CTS) at Imperial College London (ICL) guested on Nanjing Normal University upon invitation and delivered a splendid speech titled “GNSS based seamless positioning technology and applications”. The presentation was held by the associate dean of school of Electrical and Automation Engineering JiQuan Yang, Professor Yang introduced Professor Washington Ochieng’s research and development interests. Then, Professor Ochieng presented the background, technology, applications of GNSS based seamless positioning technology and emphasized the research mission of CTS aiming to lead internationally in research into all aspects of the transport systems, services, products and technologies catering for governments, industry and individuals. Faculty and postgraduate students of school of Electrical and Automation Engineering attended this academic communication meeting and exchanged their questions with Professor Ochieng after presentation. Finally, exchange opportunities between two colleges were also discussed.
