The first ERASMUS+GeoS4S (GeoServices-4-Sustainability) Summer School was held in Asian Institute of Technology, Pathumthani, Thailand from May 22 to June 4, 2017. Scholars and more than fifty graduate students from 10 universities from China, Germany, Austria, Czech, Netherlands and Tailand have participated in this school.

The teachers from the consortium universities taught the concepts and methods of the modules they had developed and trained the participants in implementing those concepts and methods using geospatial data and GIS software.
