Professor Dai Qiang of our school was invited to serve as Associate Editor of the top journal "Water Resources Research" in the field of hydrology and water resources

Recently, Professor Dai Qiang of our school was invited by the editor-in-chief of "Water Resources Research" and hired by the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Press to join the editorial board of the journal as an Associate Editor. The appointment period is January 2021 - December 2024, he will be responsible for the review of manuscripts in related fields such as hydrological disasters and hydrological remote sensing. "Water Resources Research" is one of the flagship publications sponsored by the American Geophysical Union. It was founded in 1965 and is recognized as the top publication in the field of international hydrology and water resources. The latest impact factor is 4.31, and it's divided into the first district by the Chinese Academy of Sciences

Professor Dai Qiang is an introduced talent of our school's "Hundred Talents Program", "Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents", and concurrently serves as a member of the International Meteorological Radar and Hydrology Association, and a member of the Virtual Geographic Environment Professional Committee of the International Digital Earth Association Central Committee. He successively served as the Associate Editor of the authoritative international hydrology and water resources publications "Hydrological Processes" (Division 2 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and "Journal of Hydrology" (District 1 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences). Mainly engaged in hydrological disasters and hydrological remote sensing research, published more than 50 SCI papers in "Water Resources Research", "Journal of Hydrology" and other journals. He has won the first prize of Jiangsu Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Technology Progress Award (ranking No. 1), Jiangsu Young Geographical Science and Technology Award, Jiangsu Outstanding Young Scientific and Technical Worker of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information and other honorary titles.
