At the invitation of our school, Professor Dong Guanpeng of the Research Center for Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development of Henan University, held a wonderful lecture entitled "Development of multi-scale spatio-temporal model and its application in human geography research" for teachers and students of our college on the afternoon of January 7, 2020, in the conference room 613, Xingyuan Building. This lecture was hosted by Professor Tang Shuangshuang, and teachers and students in related fields participated in this academic lecture.
Professor Dong Guanpeng's main research areas are quantitative methods such as the development of spatial and temporal multi-scale statistical models and statistical software development, Bayesian statistical calculation, and urban and regional development research. He has taught at the University of Liverpool and Sheffield University, and he is an editorial board member of the internationally famous geography journal Environment and Planning B： Urban Analytics and City Science. He has published more than 30 SSCI papers in internationally renowned journals like Annals of the American Association of Geographers, Geographical Analysis, International Journal of Geographical Information Science, Computers, Environment and Urban Systems, Journal of Regional Science, Environment and Planning B, etc.
