July 1982----1November 1999, successively served as Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Associate Professor of PLA Surveying and Mapping Institute.
December 1999----1November 1999, Professor, School of Surveying and Mapping, Information Engineering University of the People's Liberation Army.
Since April 2000, he has been working as a Senior Visiting Scholar at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for 6 times and 26 months in total.
May 2008 ----Now, he has been Professor, Distinguished Professor and Second Grade Professor in the School of Geographic Sciences, Nanjing Normal University.
