Li Fayuan, Ph.D., Professor, Secretary General of Basic Education Branch of Chinese Geographic Society, Councilor of Jiangsu Geographic Society, Councilor of Jiangsu Education Society, Director of Geographic Education Committee of Jiangsu Geographic Society, Councilor of Geography Committee of Jiangsu Education Society, Member of Digital Mountain Professional Committee of China National Committee of International Society of Digital Earth, Member of Education Working Committee of China Geographic Information Industry Association. He has long been engaged in the research of GIS spatial analysis, digital terrain (geomorphology) analysis, and geography education, and has published more than 80 papers in SCI and EI journals, such as IJGIS, ESPL, Geomorphology, and TGIS. He was awarded the second prize of National Teaching Achievements, the second prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, the first and second prizes of Scientific and Technological Progress in Geographic Information, and the prize of Jiangsu Provincial Excellence Teaching Materials. He has presided over (including the completion of) 4 youth and surface projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and participated in more than 10 projects such as 863 and key projects of the NSFC.
