On August 8, 2023, the 24th annual National "Star Outlook" Contest, a high-level contest with a view to building a bridge of cultural communication and exchange between China and the Western world, was successfully concluded in Beijing.

Two English students from Ginling College, Nanjing Normal University entered the final, and after three days of intense competition, Tan Huayi of Grade 2021 won the national Special Prize, and Zhang Yixuan of Grade 2022 won the national First Prize. Ms. Yang Ling was granted the Excellent Instructor Award.

The achievement has fully demonstrated the good English proficiency and critical thinking ability of English majors in Ginling college and reflected the success of combining theory and practice in English teaching as emphasized by the English faculty. It is believed to enhance the social influence and professional competitiveness of English majors of the college, promote the discipline construction and professional development of the English program, and provide support and motivation for further improvement of the education system and education quality of the English Department of our college.
