On September 27, Yifang Academy of Ginling College held its first lecture in the new semester in the Concert Hall of Guangle Building and Professor Zhou Xiaohong, former President of School of Sociology, Nanjing University, a senior professor of humanities and social Sciences and expert of the Discipline Planning Review Group of China’s National Social Science Foundation, was invited as the lecturer. Professor Bian Xia, President of Ginling College, presided over the event.

Professor Zhou’s lecture was titled "Life Course, Life Transition and Psychological Evolution in the Changing Era - Taking 40 Sociologists as Examples". Based on the collection of oral accounts of 40 sociologists about their life experiences from 1979 to 2019, the lecturer helped students understand the dramatic changes that took place in the past 40 years and demonstrated the significant impact of changes on a person's psychology and life course.   

At the end of the lecture, President Bian expressed her wish that Ginling students would update themselves on social changes, better grasp social trends and take advantage of them to promote personal growth and development.
