On the afternoon of September 27, 2023, the opening ceremony of the fifth session and the awarding ceremony of the fourth session of Ginling College’s Yifang Academy were successfully held in the Concert Hall of Guangle Buidling on Xianlin Campus.

The leaders who attended the ceremony were Liu Liwei, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of NNU; Zhou Yun, Deputy Director of NNU’s Academic Affairs Office; Wang Haikang, Deputy Director of NNU’s Student Affairs Office and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Computer and Electronic Information/School of Artificial Intelligence, NNU; Xue Chuanhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ginling College; Bian Xia, President of Ginling Collegel; Gao Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ginling College. The attendees also included all the members of the fourth and fifth sessions of Yifang Academy. The event was presided over by Secretary Xue Chuanhui.

The meeting kicked off in the solemn national anthem. Secretary Xue delivered the opening speech by reaffirming the objectives of Yifang Academy and it was followed by President Bian’s speech, in which she introduced the cultivation model of Yifang Academy.  

Then, Ning Yanlan, a member of the fourth session of Yifang Academy, and Qin Xiaoting, a member of the fifth session, spoke respectively. Ning shared with the audience her story in Yifang Academy. She told that Yifang Academy provided her with access to various outstanding figures from all walks of life, to a series of lectures covering different fields, and to various interesting workshops, which have helped with her overall accomplishments in all aspects. As the representative of the new members, Qin Xiaoting explained her understanding of Dr. Wu Yifang's spirit of "abundant life" and expressed her longing for her study in Yifang Academy.

After the speeches, Tan Huayi, an English major of 2021, Zhang Yixuan, an English major of 2022, and Xu Kehan, a Labor and Social Security major of 2022 gave a keynote speech on President Xi Jinping’s visit to homes of common people. 

Subsequently, Secretary Liu Liwei announced the ten winners of "Best Study Notes” of the fourth session of Yifang Academy, and Deputy Director Zhou Yun and Deputy Director Wang Haikang awarded the winners the certificate.

The ceremony ended with the recitation of Hong Peiyan, Yu Ruobing and Rong Yuguo, who are accounting majors of 2022. With affection, they described the humanistic education concept of Ginling College, shared their feelings and gains in Yifang Academy in the past one year, and encouraged the new members to cherish the time in the academy, learn from each other and grow together.
