From September 19th to 21st, 2025, the final of the Second Rural Revitalization Volunteer Service Skills Competition, part of the China Graduate Students' Rural Revitalization and Agricultural Strengthening through Science and Innovation Competition, were successfully held in Yantai, Shandong. Our college’s volunteer service teams, “Developing New Rural Collective Economy for Common Prosperity” and “Servicing More People with the Spirit of Ginling College ” stood out among numerous teams from universities across the country, winning the second and third prizes at the national level, respectively. This achievement marked a historic breakthrough for our college’s graduate students in volunteer service competitions.

This competition attracted 1,888 teams from 187 graduate education institutions to participate. After rigorous selection and professional evaluation, a total of 329 teams advanced to the national finals. There, they competed in three categories: “Volunteer Service Knowledge Test,” “Volunteer Service Project Presentation,” and “Volunteer Service Case Analysis.” The competition was exceptionally fierce.

Our college’s “Developing New Rural Collective Economy for Common Prosperity” volunteer propaganda group focused on the “last mile” problem of policy implementation and experience sharing mechanism in the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, built a differentiated case library based on full research, and customized the “one village, one policy” propaganda plan. The team went deep into the fields and streets and alleys of rural villages in many provinces, served more than 100 agricultural and rural practitioners, and achieved certain academic honors and social influence, and finally won the second prize in the category of management.

Guided by the ideological connotation of the book "President Xi Enters the Home of the People", the "Servicing More People with the Spirit of Ginling College " volunteer service team focused on the actual pain points faced by the countryside, and innovatively constructing a "1+3+N" volunteer service system. Through theoretical propaganda, providing precise care services, and organizing practical skills training, the team empowered the society as well as themselves.Finally,they won the third prize in the category of education with wide social recognition.

These two awards demonstrated the solid professional qualities, positive innovative spirit and solid practical ability of graduate students in our college,as well as reflected the positive achievements of our college in promoting the connotation-oriented development of graduate education and serving the national strategic needs .

In the future, our college will continue to deepen the education system of graduate competitions, give full play to the important role of discipline competitions in improving graduate students' innovative awareness, scientific research literacy and practical ability, better serve the national strategic needs and economic and social development, and cultivate more high-level innovative talents.
