Ginling Research Center for Home Economics Education and Community Development, established in 1995, aims at improving the comprehensive quality of college students and promoting community services, thus helping people improve the quality of family life and facilitate the healthy development of communities and the whole society. Since its establishment, the center has been offering students optional courses in the field of home economics and provides various lectures and training programs for the public. It has also published a series of books on home economics education.
Ginling College is the hosting institution of Jiangsu Association of Home Economics which, established in 1996, is the first provincial level home economics association founded in China. Collaborated with JAHE, the center is actively involved in research and academic exchange programs and provides consulting services and training programs for the public, aiming at solving real life problems of the communities. The center has also organized several international conferences successfully.
