From November 27th to 29th, 2020, the 2020 China New Media Communication Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese Journalism History Society Network Communication History Research Committe was successfully held at Shandong University. The annual meeting was hosted by the Chinese Journalism History Society Network Communication History Research Committe and undertaken by the School of Journalism and Communication of Shandong University. More than one hundred experts and young scholars from nearly forty universities including Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University and Shandong University attended the annual meeting. Qiu Yaqing, a 19-level graduate student of journalism and communication, participated in this academic event as a representative.
The theme of this annual meeting is New Media and Public Communication, aiming to bring together journalism and communication academics and industry colleagues, focus on the frontier intersection of new media and public communication, and discuss new media social and cultural issues under the new situation. This conference has eight sub-forums including "New Media Theory and Cultural Critical Research", "New Media and Public Practice", "New Media, Public Welfare and Advertising Communication", "New Media and Risk, Crisis Communication", etc. 300 papers were submitted and more than 70 papers were selected. The impact of social media risk information on users' dissemination willingness in public health emergencies by Qiu Yaqing of our school was also selected.
Professor Wei Lu, President of the Chinese Journalism History Society Network Communication History Research Committee and Dean of the School of Media and International Culture of Zhejiang University, said in his speech that since May this year, the Research Committee of the History of Internet Communication has innovated the way of organizing meetings for the construction of disciplines and talent training Contributed. In the next step, the society will focus on the construction of new liberal arts and create three communication platforms for theory, practice and education.
The Chinese Journalism History Society Network Communication History Research Committee is affiliated to the Chinese Journalism History Society and is a national secondary society organization approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The branch was co-sponsored by a group of domestic academically prestigious professional scientific research institutions such as Nanjing University, Chongqing University, and Zhejiang University. It is currently a leading national academic organization in the field of new media research in China. The branch is committed to conducting academic exchanges, working hard to promote the development of network and new media communication research and practice in China, and contributing excellent theoretical results with rich Chinese experience.
