The 60th anniversary Discipline Development Innovation Forum of Journalism and Communication Education of Nanjing Normal University was successfully held

On the afternoon of June 15, the 60th anniversary Discipline Development Innovation Forum of Journalism and Communication Education of Nanjing Normal University kicked off at Suiyuan Campus. The forum invited leaders and experts from more than 80 colleges and universities of journalism and Communication, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, Fudan University, Wuhan University, etc. to attend, focusing on the three major themes of "Construction of independent knowledge system of journalism and communication", "intellectual media Frontier and development of journalism and communication", and characteristic innovation and development of journalism and communication ". In order to speed up the construction of the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of journalism and communication with Chinese characteristics, we will strive to cultivate outstanding journalism and communication talents facing the future.

The first parallel sub-forum, with the theme of "Construction of Independent Knowledge System of Journalism and Communication Discipline", was chaired by Professor Zhang Xiaofeng, director of the Discipline Construction Department of Nanjing Normal University. The participating scholars focused on the ideas, problems and suggestions of the construction of independent knowledge system of journalism and communication discipline to carry out in-depth discussion. How to view the autonomy of journalism and communication? Zhang Taofu, dean of the School of Journalism at Fudan University, Cheng Lihong, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Liaoning University, Zhao Lifang, dean of the Graduate School of Minzu University of China, Jiang Hong, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Anhui University, and Xu Jian, deputy dean of the School of Media and Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, pointed out that the boundaries of journalism and communication are always in a fluid state, and it is necessary to think more about the subject's subjectivity; Zhang Hongjun, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Nanjing University, believes that it is not necessary to pay too much attention to the border issue, but to return to the question of "what role should the discipline play". Why to build journalism and communication with Chinese Characteristics? Tang Xujun, former director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, stressed that the construction of independent knowledge system of journalism and communication should not be rushed, and the corresponding construction should be discussed after full practice. Wei Lu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of Zhejiang University of Media and Communication, pointed out that we should not focus too much on theory, but should pay attention to practical knowledge; Shi Anbin, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication of Tsinghua University, based on the discipline ranking and rating, proposed to highlight the value and concern by taking China as the method and the world as the context; Qiang Yuexin, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Wuhan University, put forward the real expectation of the localization of Western concepts and the science and chemistry of industry concepts. Su Hongyuan, former dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of South China University of Technology, and Lin Shengdong, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Xiamen University, analyzed the differences and effectiveness of Chinese and Western theories of journalism and communication. Chen Long, Dean of the School of Communication and Communication of Soochow University, gave a speech on the integration of AIGC and tradition. The second parallel sub-forum, with the theme of "the Frontier of intellectual media and the Development of Journalism and Communication discipline", was chaired by Professor Zhuang Xi, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Nanjing Normal University. The participating scholars had extensive exchanges on the opportunities and challenges faced by journalism and communication discipline in the era of intelligent media. What is the impact of the era of intelligent media on media education? In close combination with the characteristics of journalism and communication education in major colleges and universities, we proposed to set up artificial intelligence-related majors, establish intelligent communication experimental classes, formulate liberal arts and science integration training programs and other innovative measures, emphasizing that on the basis of safeguarding the background of humanities majors, we should embrace cutting-edge intelligent media technology and constantly achieve the nourishment and symbiosis of human and intelligent communication technology.

The third parallel sub-forum, with the theme of "Innovative Development of Journalism and Communication Characteristics", was chaired by Professor Gu Liping, director of the Faculty Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication, Nanjing Normal University. The participating scholars shared their insights on the system construction, personnel training and practical requirements of journalism and communication. What is the philosophy of the characteristic development of journalism and communication? Zhang Kun, special Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Minzu University of China, believes that the school is an organic living body, and it should steadily promote the discipline construction from the campus environment, faculty strength, industry positioning and other characteristics of colleges and universities. Yin Weizhi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangming School of Journalism and Communication of China University of Political Science and Law, Lin Hui, deputy dean of the Humanities School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Li Jinbao, deputy dean of the School of Sports Media Industry of Nanjing University of Sport, and Shi Lei, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Chengdu University of Sport, pointed out that it is necessary to break through the barriers between disciplines, to enter the mainstream and have characteristics; Xie Zonggui, Dean of the School of Communication of Fujian Normal University, Zhang Jiayue, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication of Tianjin Normal University, Chen Junjun, deputy dean of the School of Literature and Journalism and Communication of Central South University for Nationalities, and Zhang Yun, deputy dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Inner Mongolia Normal University stressed the need to do a good job in discipline innovation on the basis of inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture. Xue Ke, deputy dean of the School of Cultural and Creative Industries of the University of Southern California, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, pointed out that the implementation of "academic double innovation" and "practical double innovation" in universities should not only pay attention to the development of interdisciplinary disciplines, but also pay attention to creative practice. Chen Xiangyu, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Nanjing Forestry University, Yuan Xiao, dean of the School of Media and Art of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Deng Weijia, vice dean of the School of Excellence of Shanghai International Studies University, Zhou Biyong, vice dean of the School of Literature and Journalism of Sanjiang University, said that cross-border integration has become a trend, and application-oriented talents should be accelerated through the integration of production, teaching and research.
