Under the invitation from Prof. Ziqiang Zhu, Dr. Chao Li (Professor of College of Agriculture, Nanjing Agricultural University) gave an seminar entitled “Application of CRISPR-Cas in plant and agricultural biotechnology” at School of Life Sciences on Oct 10, 2020. During his talk, Prof. Li introduced the research history on CRISPR-Cas and his recently work on the development of new genome editing tools.

Prof. Li joined College of Agriculture, Nanjing Agricultural University this summer after obtaining his Ph.D degree from Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, CAS. Prof. Li works on developing new tools for genome editing in plants and has published several articles in high profile journals, including Nature Biotechnology and Genome Biology.
