【Academic Report】 "Chen Bangjie Lecture" 82th session:Invasion Risks and Biosecurity Strategies of Non-native Terrestrial Vertebrates

On the morning of May 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the 82nd session of the "Chen Bangjie Forum" was successfully held by the School of Life Sciences in the multifunctional conference room on the third floor of Xingzhi Building at the School of Life Sciences. Invited by Professor Yanping Wang from School of Life Sciences, Nanjing Normal University, Dr. Li Yiming, a researcher from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered an academic lecture on "Invasion Risks and Biosecurity Strategies of Non-native Terrestrial Vertebrates." The lecture was moderated by Professor Yanping Wang, and actively attended by faculty and students from the School of Life Sciences.

In this lecture, Dr. Li Yiming first introduced the background of invasive terrestrial vertebrates and emphasized that studies on invasive terrestrial vertebrates are a hotspot in biodiversity research. Subsequently, using the American bullfrog as an example, Dr. Li Yiming provided a detailed explanation of the recent research findings from his research group. These findings not only offer unique insights into the spread and adaptation of invasive species, but also provide some indispensable strategies for mitigating the negative impacts of invasive species in the future.

Following the lecture, Dr. Li Yiming patiently answered questions from the attending faculty and students, and shared further insights and experiences from her research field. The lecture expanded the audience's understanding of the invasion risks and biosecurity strategies of non-native terrestrial vertebrates, offering valuable research ideas and inspiration for both faculty and students.
