Jiangsu key Laboratory for Microbes and Functional Genomics

Jiangsu key Laboratory for Microbes and Functional Genomics

Jiangsu key laboratory for microbes and functional genomics was formally found in November 2010 by the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, which located on campus of Nanjing Normal University. The laboratory has a unique research team on related scientific fields. There are currently 36 staff members, including 18 professors, 14 associate professors. The laboratory aims are mainly focused on four different research areas including (1) Fungal functional genes and genomics; (2) Biomass degradation and fungal cell wall biology; (3) Bioresources and technology; (4) Interaction of microbes with their hosts. In addition, the laboratory pays great attention to communicate and cooperate with outside researchers. Most of laboratory members attend international conferences and communicate with foreign experts rottenly. Every year a number of scholars from all over the world visit the lab and establish good collaboration relationships. Currently, the laboratory has published a series of high quality academic research papers in international journals such as PLOS Genetics、mBio, Trends in Plant Science、Molecular Microbiology、The Biochemical Journal、The Journal of Biological Chemistry、Applied and Environmental Microbiology、Frontiers in Microbiology、 Bioresource Technology、Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Geomicrobiology Journal、 RSC Advances and so on.  The laboratory will further utilize current basis and scientific accumulation to accelerate the development of both classical and frontier research subjects in microbiology field.
