At the invitation of the Master's degree program in Fishery, Chen Huangen, Professor Ⅱ at the Jiangsu Fisheries Technology Promotion Center, and Fu Longlong, Senior Engineer at the Jiangsu Chinese mitten crab Industry Research Center, attend the “My Academic Road” forum series for Fishery on Oct. 19th. They delivered academic reports on the topic of efficient ecological aquaculture of crayfish and the development of Chinese mitten crab industry in Jiangsu province. The meeting was chaired by Professor Yin Shaowu, Vice Dean of the School of Marine Science and Engineering at Nanjing Normal University.

This forum aims to provide a platform for academic exchange between graduate students and scholars, exploring the current status of the Chinese mitten crab industry in Jiangsu Province, the control strategies of major risk factors, and the prospects of efficient ecological crayfish farming. It provides an opportunity to conduct in-depth research on the Chinese mitten crab industry and crayfish farming in Jiangsu Province, and is expected to provide useful information and insights for the academic and professional development of graduate students.

 

The theme of researcher Chen Huangen's report is "Efficient Ecological Breeding and Industrial Development Prospects for Crayfish". He introduced his experience in ecological aquaculture techniques for special aquatic products such as crayfish and Chinese mitten crabs, as well as comprehensive cultivation and ecological environment regulation in paddy field. He also discussed industrial prospects of efficient ecological aquaculture for crayfish, and shared the achievements of several aquatic research and promotion projects.

Fu Longlong gave a report on the title of "Status and Main Risk Factor Control Strategies of Chinese mitten crab Industry in Jiangsu Province". He has rich experience in Chinese mitten crab genetic breeding and healthy aquaculture. He elaborated on the current status of the Chinese mitten crab industry in Jiangsu and the control strategies for major risk factors, providing valuable reference for the future development of the Chinese mitten crab industry in Jiangsu.
