On the afternoon of May 24, 2021, the seminar on "teachers' basic skills" of Marxism College of Nanjing Normal University was successfully held at 542 Xingmin building. The lecture was given by Li Yuan, deputy director of the teacher education training center of Nanjing Normal University and teacher of the College of teacher education, and presided over by Wang Yan, vice president of the College of Marxism. All the normal students of our college were present to listen, with a warm atmosphere.

Before the lecture, Wang Yan, the vice president of the College of Marxism, gave a detailed introduction to the original intention of the lecture, and gave ardent expectations to the normal students of our college.

Li Yuan has been engaged in the teaching and research of teachers' ability and quality for a long time, and has rich practical experience. At the beginning of the lecture, Miss Li combined with the current situation of China's education and teacher development, and asked the students to have the courage to set up the ambition of being "future educator" and "who else to give up". She uses Schulman's seven parts about effective teachers' professional knowledge to lead to the discussion on the connotation of teachers' ability, and uses vivid cases to elaborate the five stages of improving teachers' ability. Miss Li pointed out that the acquisition of teachers' skills requires long-term and arduous training. She started from "the first classroom", "the second classroom" and "the third classroom", pointing out the ways and methods for students' self-training and improvement.

In the part of "first class -" embedded "practice teaching in class", Miss Li specially emphasized the importance of writing ability and expression ability, and put forward very pertinent suggestions for students to effectively improve their expression ability. She encouraged the students to pay attention to the usual practice, persevere, steady bar basic skills. In the part of "the second class --" guided "practice teaching, Miss Li mainly introduced the situation of the three major competitions of teaching basic skills competition of normal students in Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu Province and Yangtze River Delta, and encouraged the students to sign up actively and participate actively, so as to improve themselves in the competition.
