Reports on Algebra

At the invitation of the school of mathematical science of Nanjing Normal University, Tan Shaobin, Professor of Xiamen University, Lin Yanan, Professor of Xiamen University, Wu Quanshui, Professor of Fudan University, conducted an academic exchange in room 526, Xingjian Building on December 11, 2020. Professor Wei Jiaqun of the school of mathematical science presided over the seminar, and some teachers of the school of mathematical science, masters and doctoral students participated in the seminar.

Prof. Tan’s talk about “Toroidal Lie algebras and their representations” dealt with the structure and representation theory for twisted and untwisted toriodal Lie algebras, and dicussed the toroidal extended affine Lie algebras and their Drinfeld presentations.

In the talk titled “The connected components of smash products”, Prof. Lin introduced the method to compute the numbers of connect components of smash products, which is joint work with J. Chen and Q. Dong.

Prof. Wu’s talk about “Dualities and skew Calabi-Yau algebras” started from the definition of Hochschild (co)homology, and then tried to explain the algebraic mechanism underlying the phenomenon of Poincar{\'e} duality well-known in geometry and topology. The Van den Bergh duality and Noncommutative skew Calabi-Yau algebras also was discussed.

At the end of the talks, the students and teachers here put forward their own questions about the contents of the talk, and three speakers gave the answers with more details. The seminar successful completed.
