Prof. dr. Deng Ciping is also a doctoral supervisor in the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, East China Normal University. He is the director of the Centre for Research on Psychological Development (Disorders); Institute of Developmental and Educational Psychology, Shanghai Key Laboratory of Brain Functional Genomics, Institute of High School Education, Centre for Research in Educational Neuroscience, East China Normal University; Adjunct Researcher, J.P. Das Research Centre for Developmental Disorders, Alberta University, Canada; as well as the Part-time researcher at the J.P. Das Research Centre for Developmental Disabilities, Alberta University, Canada.
He is a member of the Council of the Chinese Psychological Society, an associate editor of Psychological Science, and a member of the Professional Committee of Developmental Psychology; a standing member of the Shanghai Psychological Society; and a member of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD). His research areas include: cognition and language development, cognitive development and learning disorders and their cognitive neural basis, cognitive-emotional-motivational developmental basis of learning in children and adolescents, and developmental tracking studies of innovative and advanced students.
