Title: Exploring Psychological Mechanisms of Good Governance on Social Trust
Recently researchers have increasingly recognized social trust as a multi-dimensional concept consisting of different components. Many researchers postulate a binary distinction between particularized and generalized trust, where the former refers to trust toward specific people that you know personally, and the latter refers to trust toward non-specific others. In this colloquium, Dr. Jiqi Zhang will describe a program of research on the effect of good governance on generalized trust. Faculty and students who are interested in this colloquium are welcome to attend.
