The 71th Gao Juefu Psychological Lecture — “Publication of Psychological Journal Papers from the Perspective of Author and Editor” by Professor. Li Xingshan

On the morning of November 1, 2020, Prof. Li Xingshan who comes from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy Sciences, gave a lecture entitled “Publication of Psychological Journal Papers from the Perspective of Author and Editor”. The lecture was held online and hosted by Prof. Chen Qingrong (Vice Dean of our School of Psychology, Nanjing Normal University). Dr. An Yuanyuan, Dr. Zhang Jingjing, Dr. Zhang Hui, and other faculty and students from our School of Psychology attended the lecture.


Prof. Li Xingshan is the director of the Key Laboratory of Behavioral Science, Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and an associate editor of Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology. His research interest mainly focuses on Chinese reading, eye movement control, and object-based visual attention. Prof. Li first pointed out that paper publication does not only depend on the quality of research itself, but academic writing and review process. He introduced some key considerations in academic writing, and share his personal experiences regarding review process in psychology journals as an author and editor.



In the last Question & Answer session, Prof. Li had positive discussions with the faculty and students. The lecture arose the great interests of faculty and students and was ended in applause.
